Concrete actions to fight racism

 15 December 2020

The Groupe d’action contre le racisme, which is co-chaired by the Minister of Immigration, francization and Integration and Minister responsible for the Laurentide Region, Nadine Girault, and the Minister for Health and Social Services, Lionel Carmant, revealed their “Le racism au Québec: tolerance zero” report.

The Groupe retained several concrete actions meant to quickly target racism in Quebec and therefore produce sensible effects on the short and long term. Those effects should be felt in numerous sectors such as employment, public security, housing, education and justice. Each of those actions will take into account the particular reality experienced by minorities and native communities.
