François Legault announces three new arrivals in his team of change: Sylvie Hamel (Saint-Henri-Sainte-Anne), Marc Baaklini (Saint-Laurent) and Laura Azéroual (Robert-Baldwin)

As the general election draws closer, the leader of the Coalition Avenir Quebec, François Legault, is proud to announce today the addition of three new candidates: Sylvie Hamel, Marc Baaklini and Laura Azéroual, respectively in the ridings of Saint-Henri-Sainte-Anne, Saint-Laurent and Robert-Baldwin. Mr. Legault considers himself lucky to be able to count on the talent, experience and motivation of all his candidates.

In Saint-Henri-Sainte-Anne, director of Finance of the Parity Committee of the Automotive Services Industry in the Montreal Region Sylvie Hamel will be trying to get elected for the CAQ. For nearly thirty years, she has held positions of manager and director in the field of financial resources and accounting. « I’m joining the CAQ in order to improve the quality of life of all Quebecers. I want to restore trust in politics. The CAQ offers an honest team that promises to do more and do better for Quebec. I am proud to be part of François Legault’s change team », notes Hamel.

For Saint-Laurent, businessman Marc Baaklini will wear the colors of the CAQ. Marc Baaklini holds a bachelor’s degree in management science from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC) at the Université de Montréal. He is currently commercial director for Eastern Canada for Centurylink, a world leader in telecommunications and network infrastructure services and information technology services. He was also national director of strategic accounts at Hypertec, a leading provider of information technology (IT) products and services, from 2013 to 2015. Since the early 2000s, Marc Baaklini has accumulated sales and business development in several companies in Montreal and Saint-Laurent. « Creating wealth and quality jobs throughout Quebec and lightening the tax burden on families: these are commitments of the CAQ that join me entirely. Quebeckers, including those from Saint-Laurent, are hungry for change. They want an honest government, close to their concerns. They want a new team, with new ideas. I invite all voters in Saint-Laurent to choose change! » Mr. Baaklini said.

Laura Azéroual will represent the CAQ in the riding of Robert-Baldwin. Interested in politics from an early age, Laura already has a vast experience in operations and political mobilization. She has also worked as an educator and assistant director in early childhood centers in the Montreal area. Holder of a certificate in law and a degree in political science from the Université de Montréal, Laura Azéroual intends to lead a positive campaign and represent her generation in the next election. « For decades, Quebeckers from the West Island have been condemned to choose the Liberal Party. I deeply believe that the CAQ represents real change. I wish to offer a real alternative to the citizens of Robert-Baldwin. I want to tell them that they do not have one choice. There is the CAQ now, the only alternative to the Liberals », explains Azeroual.

« Free yourself of Liberals! » – François Legault

Leader of the CAQ, François Legault, invites the citizens of the West Island to turn their backs on the liberals, a worn out party that has reached its time. The Liberal Party of Philippe Couillard did not deliver performed in several crisis, starting with the 2017’s spring floods. Many families living in Pierrefonds and L’Île-Bizard are still held hostage by the Liberal bureaucracy and are waiting for their compensation checks. « Liberals must be punished for their mismanagement! » said the CAQ leader.

Well aware of the challenge that represent some ridings for his party, M. Legault believes that the ideas of the CAQ have the potential to rally all Montrealers. The Liberals have taken Quebeckers from the West Island for granted and it is time for real change after 15 years of Liberal government. « Our project is within Canada. This is our article 1! We are convinced that it is possible to move Quebec forward, while remaining in Canada. We have the right ideas, an ambitious program and a great team of people from all backgrounds, from all horizons. I look forward to teaming up with candidates like Sylvie, Marc and Laura who believe that a strong Quebec within Canada is possible. Free yourself from liberals! » concluded François Legault.
