CAQ whip and Second Opposition Group critic for agriculture, fisheries and food, the Maritime Strategy, and the Mauricie region
Donald Martel served as the executive director and secretary-treasurer of the Nicolet-Yamaska RCM from 1994 until 2012. He was elected to the National Assembly in 2014. With a bachelor’s in business administration (human resources management option), he was also the administrative director of the CLD of the Nicolet-Yamaska RCM.
He was the president of the Association of Directors General of Quebec’s RCM from 1999 to 2003. A member since 2004 of the prevention committee for the MMQ, he is one of the founders of Quebec’s municipal workers’ pension plan and, in 2007, he became a member of the board of directors of this organization.
In addition to his professional duties, he is also a baseball coach and the director of the Donald Martel School of Baseball.
