Second Opposition Group critic for transport, international relations and La Francophonie, and the Laval and Laurentian regions
This graduate of the University of Public Administration (ENAP) has been recognized for his dedication on the international stage. After going to Haiti as a development worker, he served with the General Delegation of Quebec in Mexico City and the Quebec Ministry of International Relations.
He then became a program manager for the International Organisation of La Francophonie. He was also the director of the Forum Laurentian Youth Forum from 2003 to 2005. From 2005 to 2008, he was a program manager at the Léger Foundation and sat on various boards of directors, such as those of the French Internet Network “Aging in Liberty and in Safety” (RIFVEL), S.O.S. Youth, and T.R.A.C.E.
Elected in 2008, Benoit Charrette is known for his disciplined thinking and skill. He is the vice-chair of the Committee on Public Administration and the second opposition critic for the Laurentides region.
