Jonatan Julien is currently municipal councillor in the Québec borough of Des Rivières, where he was elected in 2013 and 2017. He is a member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec and holds a masters’ degree in public administration from ENAP as well as a B.A. in business administration from Université Laval.
From 2012 to 2013, Jonatan was secretary general of the Société immobilière du Québec, where he was responsible for major projects and corporate affairs. During the last fifteen years, he has worked as internal auditor, in risk management and governance for SSQ Groupe Financier, Desjardins, Québec’s general auditor and Ernst & Young.
Jonatan Julien has been involved for many years in his industry as well as in the community. He was part of the organizing committee for the world junior alpine ski championship held at Mont-Sainte-Anne and Massif de la Petite-Rivière-Saint-François in 2013, a member of the board of directors of the Institut des vérificateurs internes de Québec from 2009 to 2012 and a coach for the Des Rivières soccer club.
