Before her election in 2014, Chantal Soucy worked for five years as coordinator of contract management, administration and logistics for Hydro-Québec. Chantal holds a B.A. in science as well as certificates in workplace health and safety, industrial relations and general law from Université de Montréal. She is currently completing a masters’ in public administration with a major in human resources at the École nationale d’administration publique. Chantal is spokesperson for CAQ in matters of energy at the National assembly. All through her first term, she defended energetically Quebecers’ purchasing power. She was instrumental in denouncing the Liberal government misappropriation of 1.4 billion $ in the cause of Hydro-Québec’s overcharges. She also helped various local projects become reality, such as Casavant Tunnel and the expansion of Honoré-Mercier Hospital.
